Lakewood Middle
At Lakewood Middle I observed Mrs. MacCabe in her 6th grade classroom. She taught English Language Arts and Social Studies. It was a very good experience to see how an ELA class worked, because that is the subject I would want to teach if I ever taught higher grade levels.
Stanley Elementary
At Stanley elementary I observed Mrs. McAtee in her 3rd grade classroom. Being in an elementary school made me realize that the age group I enjoy working with most is younger kids. It was a very cool experience because I got to go to their specials with them which included art, music, STEAM, and PE. I got the opportunity to meet lots of different teachers and see how they teach. I got the whole elementary school experience from going outside to recess and even getting involved in their Halloween party and parade.
Timber Creek Elementary
At Timber Creek elementary I observed Mrs. Schuckman in her gifted classroom . This was an interesting experience because the classroom was project based and accelerated compared to a regular classroom. The students were tested for acceptance into the program and were given an opportunity to enter a classroom where their interests were used to base a project around. I was in a third, fourth, and fifth grade class so I was able to observe many different grade levels.
